1. How do I get my well water tested?

Bacteriological water testing kits can be purchased at our lab Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We currently accept water samples Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. All samples must be less than 24 hours old to be accepted for testing. Visit the Environmental Health Office for more details at:

2. Do I need a license to open a new restaurant?

Yes, a Retail Food License is required under Colorado law to sell or give away food to the general public. See the Colorado Division of Environmental Health and Sustainability or contact our office at (970) 870-5588.
