Q. How do I get to your office?
We are located on the west end of town on the southwest corner of Shield Drive and Lincoln, near the Justice Center.

Q. How do I change my court date?
You must contact the Routt County Courts directly, 970-879-5020. The Sheriff’s Office can NOT change court dates under any circumstance.

Q. How do I get my car out of impound?
Contact Routt County Combined Communication Center at 970-879-1090 to determine which tow company has impounded your vehicle. Contact that tow company directly. You will have to pay fees for towing and storage. Prior to the release of the vehicle, proof of current registration and insurance is required. You will not be allowed to retrieve your vehicle if there is a hold put on it by law enforcement.

Q. How do I get fingerprinted? 
All civilian fingerprints will be done by a state contracted vendor.  Local vendor in Steamboat Springs is with Partners in Routt County.  Their number is 970-879-6141. 

Q. What are your hours of operation?
We are open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to noon.  We are closed all County holidays. The Detention Center is open 24 Hours a day.

Q. How do I fill out an Accident Report online?
